(1) Pumpkin Decorating Contest Accepting decorated pumpkins October 22 - 29 from 10AM - 4PM at the Clubhouse. Add a little friendly competition to your family, fall traditions! Decorate your pumpkins at home and drop them off at the Club. Pumpkins will be on display at the Club's Restaurant for Members to view and vote! Winners will be announced at the Club's Halloween party on October 30. Winners may choose between a complimentary group tennis lesson, group fitness session or golf lesson! As part of its mission, FAFO takes pride in supporting Ocala's thriving art groups and organizations as well as our very talented local artists. In the midst of instability and uncertainty, the Ocala community comes together to support, encourage, and inspire. FAFO invites our local Marion County artists to participate in this unique exhibition and explore the question: “What does community mean to you?” FAFO will be hosting a few events at Brick City Center for the Arts throughout the month of October as part of our 'Community' exhibition. Each event will highlight our show's theme and encourage the support of our local artists. Please stay up-to-date with our event details via Facebook and Instagram. Social distancing will be enforced, masks required.

You never know what will “PopUP” at Discovery Center! This program features a fun book, experiement or craft designed for our yougest scientists. PopUP Science is offered as a $3.00 add-on to general admission. There is no need to pre-register. General admission to Discovery Center is $8.00 per person for adults and children over the age of two. General admission is always free for Discovery Center members.

Marion Oaks Community Center - MSTU (4 Events)

(1) This 7 week Basketball program is for ages 6-9 boys and girls. Meet the coaches at the youth basketball court October 8th - November 19th. The program is FREE but you do need to sign your player up. Registration is taking place at the Marin Oaks Recreation & Fitness Center 280 Marion Oaks Lane, Ocala FL 34473 (352) 438-2830. Players must be a Marion Oaks youth resident or attend a Marion Oaks Public School. Please bring own basketball or you can purchase a ball for $5. T-shirts are also available as an option for $5. Payments are cash only. At 6 p.m.
* ages 3-5 is at 5 p.m.

(2) Seasoned TaiChi Instructor Joe offers this class to those just starting out and to those who have mastered. This is a wonderful class that all those who attend are grateful they came. *** Please note Friday's class has been changed to Thursday's 6pm.

(3) Sa Dan Sa Bom Master Debby Jones offers this outstanding class for all ages. This is a one hour and forthy-five minute class for only $10 (first time students will receive a one time discount of $5). Class takes place at the Marion Oaks Recreation & Fitness Center Monday's 6pm and Thursday's at 1pm. Please bring cash to pay for class.

(4) Bring the family for pickleball fun - it's FREE! Our staff will teach everyone how to help this FUN game. Pickleball is a cross of table tennis / batminton and it's played on a short tennis court. Pickleball is great for all ages. Come out and give it a try!!! Open to the public. 7:30 p.m.

As part of its mission, FAFO takes pride in supporting. Ocala's thriving art groups and organizations as well as our very talented local artists. In the midst of instability and uncertainty, the Ocala community comes together to support, encourage, and inspire. FAFO invites our local Marion County artists to participate in this unique exhibition and explore the question: “What does community mean to you?”. FAFO will be hosting a few events at Brick City Center for the Arts throughout the month of October as part of our 'Community' exhibition. Each event will highlight our show's theme and encourage the support of our local artists. Please stay up-to-date with our event details via Facebook and Instagram. Social distancing will be enforced, masks required.

Bereavement Support Group. Hang out with your peers and experience hands-on activities. Ages 13-18. Hospice of Marion County, Inc. from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Marion Oaks Community Center - MSTU (2 Events)

(1) This 7 Week Basketball program is for ages 10-16 boys and girls. Meet the coaches at the big courts october 6th - November 17th at 5:30pm. The program is FREE but you doneed to sign your player up. Registration is taking place at the Marion Oaks Recreation & Fitness Center 280 Marion Oaks Lane, Ocala FL 34473 (352) 438-2830. Players must be a Marion Oaks youth resident or attend a Marion Oaks Public School. Please bring own basketball or you can purchase a ball for $5. cash. T-shirts are also available as an option for $5. cash.

(2) Retro Shuffleboard with Victor on Tuesday mornings at 9:30am. We will teach you how to play if you don't know how to. Shuffleboard is alot of fun for all ages. A great way to meet new people, have fun with friends and most of all your getting outside!
