- Ocala: First Avenue Bar & Bistro is now open at 48 SW 1st Ave in downtown Ocala — in the space La Cuisine filled for 17 years.
- Ocala: The City of Ocala is designing the Downtown Ocala Trail, a roughly 6.2-mile paved route for walkers and cyclists connecting downtown to Silver Springs State Park. The city took public feedback on the design Oct. 28.
- Ocala: The 59th Ocala Fine Arts Festival drew crowds to historic downtown Oct. 24-25, with 140+ juried artists, student art displays and live performances filling Citizens' Circle.
- Ocala: Former Misfits singer Michale Graves brings his Everybody Love Everybody Acoustic Tour to Mutiny Ocala on Sunday, Nov. 8 — doors 7 PM, show 8 PM, with a post-show meet & greet.
- Ocala: BJ's Wholesale Club's first Ocala store, at 6110 SW State Road 200, is expected to open this fall. Groundbreaking was held in late May.
- Gainesville: Crunch Fitness announced October 5 that Crunch Gainesville North, a $5 million, 35,000-square-foot facility with the new Crunch 3.0 design, will open late 2026 at 2323 NW 13th St in Gainesville Plaza.
- Gainesville: Winn-Dixie opened its new Alachua store at 15560 NW US Highway 441 (the former Hitchcock's Markets), open 7 days a week, 7am to 10pm.
- Gainesville: The Alachua County Tax Collector will start offering self-serve vehicle registration renewal kiosks at two local Publix stores.
