'Then and Now' is a judged show that celebrates OAG's 70th Anniversary as Central Florida's Oldest All-Media Art Group! The Ocala Art Group was established in Ocala in 1950. The artists have come and gone through the years, but the quality of the work and the enthusiasm of their members insure that the arts remain alive and healthy, no matter the economic climate. The OAG is a not-for-profit educational corporation with membership open to artists of all ages and levels. They provide programs, demonstrations and workshops that appeal to every art enthusiast, as well as sponsor various art shows year-round with all member participation. Join us in spending a week in sunny Florida with Lynn and Cyril at their Fox Grove Farm in Ocala! Begin your day with a hot cup of coffee or tea in one of the three Fox Grove Homes or on the patio by the pool of the Main House, followed by a power walk around the Farm with Lynn and her canine family, Lizzie, Joey and Debbie. Review the day’s activities as you walk under the shade of the live oaks covered in spanish moss to the kee-eeeee-arrs of the Hawks and chirps of the bluebirds. Morning equestrian classes can be discovering horse’s behavior and instincts or learning how to manage equine personalities on the ground. Riding sessions may be on the natural obstacle course or in the arena focusing on rider’s balance and aids communication. After a light lunch prepared by Lynn, an afternoon adventure awaits. You are invited to join us at the annual Mid-Florida Local Image Awards and Communicator of the Year Awards on Thursday, April 15, from 5:30-8 p.m., at Brick City Center for the Arts in Ocala, as we recognize the exceptional public relations programs and communicators from across the region. The Image Awards have become a standard of public relations excellence in Florida. Winners demonstrate the very best examples of innovation, planning and design. Local Image winners often go on to win at the state Golden Image level. Established in 2005, the Wilton F. Martin Communicator of the Year Awards recognizes Individuals and Institutions that have demonstrated excellence in strategic communications to improve the quality of life in Marion County. THURSDAY, APRIL 15 AT 7 PM – 8:15 PM Artist's Outlook: Kristin Herzog online event from The Appleton Museum of Art. Join us on Zoom for this free, artist talk series where each month an artist from the Appleton's permanent collection will speak about about their inspirations and processes, as well as their own journey as an artist. This month, chat with Florida artist Kristin Herzog, whose work ranges from non-representational to abstract, often with a landscape or vegetative reference. Herzog enjoys traveling to residencies in the U.S. and abroad and her work has been juried into over 80 regional, national and international shows and has won two awards from The Artist’s Magazine. Her work is on view in the Appleton’s Balcony Gallery for Florida Artists through June 27. This online event is free and open to the public. This beautiful event is a highly sought opportunity for ladies to enjoy an authentic high tea, around elegantly decorated tables. To attend you must be a hostess or the guest of a hostess. The purpose of this event is to raise support for the Interfaith Homeless Shelter which serves homeless women, children and families. This year’s event will be both live at Sholom Park and held virtually for those that wish to have it in a small setting at home. We are currently seeking hostesses and sponsors for our 5th Annual Ladies High Tea. We are inviting ladies to be a hostess for High Tea with 7 of their friends and/or family. Tables can be decorated from simple to elaborately themed! Hostesses will be encouraged to use the event to raise funds for our Homeless Shelter Program – recruiting other ladies to join them in celebrating the strength of women coming together for a common cause. Each table is challenged to raise at least $500. The table that raises the most funds will win the traveling Golden Teapot Award! Y'all watch out come this April 17 & 18, 2021, The Shadow Riders gang still ain't learned a thing and they's is still holdin' up in the backwoods of the Kirby Family Farm trying to rob all they can from that there train! Them varmints come into town every chance they get to stir up some trouble too. Don't you worry though cause The Six Gun Original Gunfighters will be there to run them back outta town. Oh, and if that ain't troublin' enuf' for ya, we got us a whole band of Outlaws and Lawdogs having a whole 'nuther showdown out in the woods at a little place called BloomTown and we hear it's pretty ugly! Don't believe us? Then hop on that there fancy wagon and see for yerself! If you make it out of those woods alive you better sneak out real easy 'cuz the only way out is right thru Indian country! Your gonna really enjoy all the live entertainment led by the ladies of the World Famous Palace Saloon, performing the original Palace dances! Come ride the Kirby's REAL historic railroad, but know them train robbers are always up to no good! There'll be plenty of Wild West fun. Also a very special reunion of Gunfighters, Can Can Girls, and more cast members from the Original Six Gun Territory! There'll even be stuff on display from Six Gun. You can meet your childhood heroes and get pictures, hear stories, and all! Bring you some chairs, popup tent, and have a good time! This is a family event, so won't be no Moonshine or bacco’ allowed ya' hear!? Come on out and have a great time! Admission is FREE each day. You can see Original Six Gun Territory Gunfighters perform the Legendary Six Gun Gunfights from the original park. Plus, we are throwing in all the other shows and entertainment too including live music, Medicine Man Magic Show, the World Famous Palace Saloon CanCan Dances, the Outlaws and Lawdogs, the Indian Village, and more! Free Admission includes all live shows and entertainment. Saturday, April 10 starting at 4:00pm join us for the final show of Venus Rising: A Fashion Show at NOMA OCALA.

Help us celebrate our last day of Venus Rising: A Celebration of Women, by attending a fun afternoon at NOMA Gallery. We will have a live performance by Becky Sinn, followed by a fashion show from Kandy Kween and King Killection. The bubbly will be flowing, and we will have special pricing on select artwork and awesome door prizes.
